27/7/26 - Our Allotment Society Website

Calling out our allotment society website!  Over the last couple of months, our allotment society secretary has been spending his time putting together a website for our allotment society.  Around 4 or 5 years ago, when I first started considering looking for an allotment, I actually found it quite hard to find out any information about the allotment sites and what they had to offer.  There was no internet presence as such, just an email address for contact tucked away on a council website.  As best as I could see, there was no other sort of public presence be it through social media or anything else.  So when the secretary made it known to some committee members that he had started this project, it came as a really pleasant surprise.

The website address is www.rossallotments.com.  The website is still in it's early days.  I, along with several other members, have been asked if we would like to contribute to various pieces of content for the new website, and I have only been too happy to agree.  Some parts of the site still need a bit of structure adding to it, but for the time being the really important information is now all there and searchable.

I've already written a few articles, one of which has been published here.  And there are a couple more articles submitted and waiting in the pipeline to be added to the site.
